JoAnne Rose Foley, Healing Arts has a mission to educate and empower people by training and instructing in Pet CPR, (First
Aid, and Care), yoga, Reiki, and Pilates.
JoAnne Rose Foley has a Master's in Education, Counseling Psychology. She practiced as a Rehabilitation Counselor for over twenty years. She specialized as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in the 'return to work' with injured workers. She was a provider of the Department of Industrial Accidents. Her experience as a Vocational Expert Consultant was in Disability Determination for the Social Security Administration. JoAnne's counseling experience included working with high-risk children as a Behavioral Health Clinician in the North End of Boston. Throughout the years she simultaneously taught and integrated alternative practices in her work and life. Her deep passion and avocation is photography.
There is a tremendous need for training in pet CPR, first aid and care because unfortunately, thousands of pets die every year form preventable accidents! Pet parents would do anything to help their pets, if they only knew how. JoAnne Rose Foley is now offering Pet Tech's Pet Saver trainings for pet parents and pet care professionals. JoAnne Rose Foley, Pet Tech Instructor has successfully completed the Pet Tech Instructor Training program and is qualified to teach the Pet Tech family of programs.
The training is taught by lecture, demonstration and hand-on skill practice. You will learn pet CPR, rescue breathing, ABC’s of pet first aid, how to brush your pet’s teeth, tips for your Senior “Pet-izen” and much, much more. The class includes a workbook and each participant will receive a completion certificate.
Our pets, just like children are at greater risk of a fatality or injury from preventable accidents than any other reason. Taking the correct and proper actions can significantly increase the chances of survival and reduce the extent of injury to your pet before transporting them to your veterinarian. She is a Member of The International Reiki Center.
JoAnne Rose trained with the world-renowned William Lee Rand of The International Reiki Center as a Usui Holy Fire ® Karuna III ® Reiki Master. JoAnne Rose can treat and train individuals in Usui Holy Fire ® Karuna III ® Reiki I, Reiki II, and Reiki III and/or Master.
She trained as an Usui Reiki Master (Kelly Tammaro, The Heart of Reiki Center).The trainings can be up to five participants. Your location /onsite is an option for the training. Currently, the trainings are done via zoom/online.
Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Pilates, Stress Reduction/ Management Practices, and Producer of "Yoga Nidra" CD (an ancient deep relaxation sequence.).
She has taught yoga, meditation, yoga nidra, stress reduction practices, and Reiki for many years. She holds a yoga certification Mind-Body (Maureen Spencer, Finding Inner Peace & Stress Reduction Center) and Ashtanga (M. S. Viswanath) Bangalore, India.. She studied at the BKS Iyengar Center (Patricia Walden), Sivananda International Yoga Retreat Center(s), and Siddha International Yoga Retreat Center(s).
JoAnne studied and personally met Sir K. Pattabhi Jois on his world tour. She experienced great teachers at New York Yoga Conferences, Richard Freeman, Barry Karfnow, Rodney Yee, and Shiva Rea.
She professionally trained at the Center of Mindfulness Stress Reduction Program at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center, John Kabat-Zinn.
JoAnne Rose Foley is certified in the Primary and the Advance series in the tradition of Joseph Hubertus Pilates.
She is current in Adult, Child, and Infant CRP/AED and is an Instructor of Pet CPR and First Aid.
JoAnne Rose is an award-winning photographer/artist. Photography is a passion and avocation. She did her professional development training at The New England Institute of Art in Digital Photography and at The New England School of Photography in Modern Portraiture. Presently, her specialties are Event and Fine Art Photography.
She photographed portraits of children from pre-school through high school levels. She loved the Christmas and Easter photography events. Now she enjoys photographing high school sports.
JoAnne was recognized as one of the top twenty-five portrait photographers
for a national company. For many years she photographed for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, the Bruins and Celtics at The Boston Garden, and The Boston Marathon.
In 2010, "Clouds, Water Paint" and in 2017, "Vertical Reflection" are photographs that were exhibited and sold at the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum Council, Silent Art Auction.
In 2010, she received the First Place award in Photography from the Watertown Art Association and the Honorable Mention award fromThe Friends of Mary Cummings Park, and in 2008, she received the Honorable Mention award from The Arts Affair, Marina Bay.
Her pieces have been published in various sources. For years she has exhibited throughout Boston and Greater Boston.
